Having graduated in commerce from Kirori Mal College, North Campus, Delhi University, Nupur Sanon is a trained singer, actress and entrepreneur in the Indian film industry. Her First Appearance

Nupur Sanon first appeared in B Praak’s music video “Filhaal” alongside Akshay Kumar in 2019. The song became a massive success and marked her introduction to the entertainment world. She later starred in its sequel, “Filhaal 2: Mohabbat” (2021), which went viral quickly, collecting close to 100 million views within the first three days. It even became the most-viewed Indian song in the first 24 hours of release on YouTube, creating history.

Her Acting Career

In 2023, Nupur made her acting debut in the Disney+ Hotstar comedy-drama series “Pop Kaun?” alongside seasoned actors like Kunal Kemmu, Saurabh Shukla, Johnny Lever, Ashwini Kalsekar, Chunky Pandey, Satish Kaushik, and Rajpal Yadav. Directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Prashant Sharma, the series revolved around Sahil, the son of Brij Kishore Trivedi, who falls in love with Pihu, the daughter of a criminal.

Later that year, she made her Telugu film debut in “Tiger Nageswara Rao” (2023), an action drama where she played Sara opposite Ravi Teja. This pan-India film featured actors from across the country, including Anupam Kher and John Abraham, alongside Nupur Sanon.

Nupur is also set to make her Bollywood debut with the drama film “Noorani Chehra,” directed by Navaniat Singh and produced by Panorama Studios, Wild River Pictures, and Pulp Fiction Entertainment. The movie stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Aasif Khan, Sonnalli Seygall, and Jassie Gill. This project is considered her big Bollywood break.

Nupur launched her entrepreneurial venture on 7 June 2024, founding her inclusive fashion label, Nobo, along with her mother, Geeta Sanon. The name stands for “No Boundaries.” Nobo blends modern trends with an Indian touch, keeping the essence of ethnicity alive while adapting to changing times.

Nupur believes there should be no boundaries in fashion, which is exactly the mission behind Nobo: “whatever direction you want, whether it’s the style of clothes, size of clothes, or something else.” She wants women to express themselves freely through fashion, since clothing is a form of self-expression, and everyone should have the chance to embrace it in their own way.

The brand offers a wide variety of clothing options ranging from traditional Indian suits, boho-inspired outfits, trendy tops and jackets, chic dresses, co-ord sets, jumpsuits, party wear, resort wear, festive edits, and even plus-size collections. However, a common criticism among customers is the high price point, which many feel is unreasonably expensive. Some users on Reddit even voiced their frustration, calling it unfairly overpriced.
