Prashant Pitti is a Delhi-based entrepreneur who co-founded EasyMyTrip.com. He did a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from July 2001 – May 2005, Later He did an MBA from Jansons School of Business, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

After B.Tech Prashant Patti joined a company, Capital One, Washington D.C., and worked as a Business Analyst. He served the company from May 2005 to November 2006. Where Prashant Patti Prepared a marketing strategy for credit limit increase. Campaigns with $1 billion annually and Analyzed financials of online-account-servicing and e-mail.

Later Prashant Patti joined HSBC Private Bank in Chicago US as Assistant Vice President. He served the company from December 2006 to August 2008. Where he Delivered analytics for internet credit card acquisition. Annual $13 million marketing budget and Analyzed Risk strategy for Prime DM acquisition, worth $750 million annually. After that, he left the company and co-founded the Indian online travel company EaseMyTrip.com in June 2008. He is currently serving this company.

Prashant Patti is also the founder and CEO of Profoundly & NearGroup, San Mateo, California, United States in May 2017, which is a social/dating app, with users in the Philippines and America. And the company tagline is “We believe humans are more than images”. The app has served 62 million users in the USA and the Philippines. He left the company in July 2018.

The concept for EaseMyTrip originated when siblings Nishant Pitti and Rikant Pitti began booking air tickets for their father’s frequent business trips, finding ways to save money in the process. Initially operating from their home garage as a travel agency, the venture faced challenges, with the duo losing their initial investment within the first three months. However, through referrals from family and friends, a turning point occurred when an airline noticed multiple bookings from a single email account and approached the Pitti brothers to become its travel partner.

By 2019, EaseMyTrip had established a substantial network, boasting over 42,000 travel agents, 1,200 franchise outlets, 640 white-label solutions, and approximately 1,600 distributors. Expanding globally, the company entered international markets such as the UAE, UK, US, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. In March 2021, EaseMyTrip went public, and in June of the same year, it collaborated with Oyo Rooms, Airbnb, and Yatra to establish the Confederation of Hospitality, Technology, and Tourism Industry (CHATT), an industry body for India’s tourism sector.

Achieving unicorn status in September 2021 with a market capitalization surpassing $1 billion, EaseMyTrip continued to strengthen its presence. In December 2021, the company enlisted Vijay Raaz and Varun Sharma as brand ambassadors. Additionally, EaseMyTrip made strategic acquisitions, including Spree Hospitality, a hospital management company founded in 2011 by Keshab Baljee, and travel marketplace Traviata in October 2021. Furthermore, the company acquired YoloBus, an intercity mobility platform, in 2021.
