About the Film
This Dharma Productions family entertainer, being a Varun Dhawan comedy, features themes of comical misunderstandings, chaos, cheesy romance, humour, and a lot of drama overall, with the tagline “Two heartbreakers and one wicked plan.” This story, set in Delhi, revolves around Sunny, a fun-loving, carefree guy, who falls in love with Tulsi, a serious, cultured girl. But being a compulsive liar, he spins a web of lies, and Tulsi ends up falling in love with him. The story doesn’t end there; multiple other love stories interfere with each other, leading to chaos and love triangles. Amid all this, you’ll get constant laughs and entertainment. The release of the film has been rescheduled for a third and final time. It was originally planned for April 18, then pushed to September 12, and finally, it is set to be a Dussehra release on 2nd October 2025.

Could Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Be Dulhania 3?
There has been a lot of speculation and theories about the film being a sequel to the 2017 hit Badrinath Ki Dulhania, also directed by Shashank Khaitan and starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. People believe it could be another film in the franchise following Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, leading up to Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
Since the first two films starred Alia and Varun together, and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari now has a different female lead, Janhvi Kapoor, a lot of questions and theories have surfaced online. However, based on news and official announcements, it is exactly that, speculation. Karan Johar took to his Instagram to clear the air and settle the matter so there’s no room for theories.
He uploaded a story (the kind that disappears in 24 hours) and wrote:
