The West Bengal Public Service Commission is organizing the Clerkship Examination 2023, and here’s what you need to know. The application process begins on December 8, 2023, and you have until December 29, 2023 (3:00 P.M.) to submit your application online. If you prefer paying offline, make sure to generate the Challan by December 29, 2023.
Remember, once you hit the ‘Final Submission’ button, you can’t make any more changes, so double-check everything before that.
Now, let’s talk about the exam. It has two parts – Part I (Objective Type) and Part II (Conventional Type – Written). The first part will likely happen in June 2024 at different centers in Kolkata and some districts in West Bengal.
To be eligible, you need to have passed the Madhyamik exam from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent. You also need to know some basics about using a computer and be able to type at a certain speed in either English or Bengali.
As for age, you should be between 18 and 40 years old as of January 1, 2023. There are some relaxations for certain groups, like SC/ST candidates and those with benchmark disabilities.
There’s a fee for applying – Rs.110/- plus a service charge. But, if you’re from SC/ST in West Bengal or have a physical disability of 40% and above, you don’t need to pay. OBC candidates, though, have to pay the usual fee.
